Bringing springtime Japan
live to Singaporeans
The Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) wanted more Singaporeans to visit springtime Japan — and sign up for their special community website too.
Our idea? Secret Hanami, an intimate sakura-viewing event exclusive to JNTO members.
Hosted by renowned comedian Hossan Leong, the Secret Hanami brought our guests to springtime Japan with immersive projections of live, moving sceneries across different prefectures.
Our guests got to savour wagashi sweets from Kyoto, drank sake from Niigata, and learnt an Okinawan dance called kachashi. For every chapter, an expert was present to explain these traditions.
(Aside: hearing Hossan deliver the monologue I wrote for him, that was definitely a career highlight.)
